STACKED HOUSES // Telde, Gran Canaria, 2019

According to Semper´s classification, stacking is a humans primitive activity. This 25 sustainable dwelling project follows this principle and aims to build by stacking concrete tubes of almost square section (3.65×3.20m.) which, as printed circuit bases, will contain all the fixed components of each unit. The clear composition of the façade overlooking the Plaza with five storeys plus a setback attic determines the character of the building just as its linked open space. All circulation paths that lead to each house contribute to an unaltered privacy by the private communication through the vertical patios before each entrance, as so by the natural light that penetrates from Gofiones Street.
