Creases are used, taking the DISA’s hummingbird logo as a starting point, to shape up the canopy of the petrol station located amid calle Olof Palme and Paseo de Chil. A complex arrangement of juxtaposed variables -functional demands, corporate image, topography, boundaries and orientation- are taken into consideration, as well as those requirements that are intrinsic to urban areas at the pedestrian level. All factors are approached from the get go in an effort to bring coherence between the complexity of the site and the purpose of the construction to become a landmark corner in the town of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
