Nursery School El Caracol

EL CARACOL // Telde, 2008

Biochemical architecture, architecture of links and chains, architecture almost unshaped.

In El Caracol the spatial substance expands under the pressure of the glass specimen rack of a microscope, nothing to do with the organic alternative to the Modern  173 Movement (“Movimiento Moderno”). The nursery school is a DNA common macromolecule. Chidren polymer where the genetic information of a whole society is kept. In the spatial and autonomous security of the specimen racks it is possible to guess different realities, to place yourself behind the mirror. There is as much invention in a different environment as elimination of the existing one. You have to feel very young to approach this spatial proposal which will be well understood by its users. Like in a mental “loop” over the pavement of the nursery school the children will color sheets of paper with the floor of the building, again the color and again the childhood.
